How To Install Fonts In Openoffice Mac Download
I am new to OpenOffice (using version 3.4.1 on Mac OS 10.6.8). The problem is simple.
(And yes, I have looked through forums and on the Internet for the answer, but haven't found a solution.) The Font Book on my computer has many fonts that I do not see in the list of fonts in OpenOffice. I see the fonts in Font Book on other applications, so I know the problem isn't with Font Book. And I see fonts in OpenOffice that aren't in the Font Book.

I have tried, without success, to figure out where OpenOffice stores its fonts on my computer. And I have tried, without success, to figure out how to add and subtract fonts from OpenOffice's list.
How, without getting into programming, do I revise the fonts in OpenOffice? What is the meaning of the symbol in front of the fonts in OpenOffice?

It's an A and what looks like a vertical arrow with two pointers. Hi, and welcome to the forum. My personal opinion is that it's not a good idea to mess around with fonts on the Mac. The simplest solution may be to clear the font cache with a restart in 'safe mode', as explained in your Mac's help system.
Then immediately do a normal restart and see if the problem is fixed. (Do not leave your Mac running in safe mode.) Otherwise, here are some topics that might help: If this answered your question please go to your first post use the Edit button and add Solved to the start of the title.
